Focus Cambodia begins coverage of the Kingdom
Hello Globe readers,
While operations at Southeast Asia Globe have paused, this week we began publishing at our revamped Focus Cambodia website. Sign up to the Focus newsletter to receive updates of our stories from Cambodia every Friday.
Focus Cambodia is meant to be the ultimate guide to the Kingdom of Wonder. Our mission is to keep you informed, entertained and up to date about Cambodia. We are passionate about innovation, inclusion and sustainability. We have a keen interest in the business, people, policy and culture that make up modern Cambodia and shape its future.
This week Focus covered the fallout from the new Chinese blockbuster movie, “No More Bets”, examining what the film’s release says about Cambodia-China relations. Elsewhere we recognised Cambodian youth activist group Mother Nature for becoming a laureate of the Right Livelihood award, also known as the ‘Alternative Nobel’ Prize, and featured artist Em Riem for his ‘defiantly fabulous’ approach to life. Finally we looked at EuroCham’s new Digital Advocacy Compass and shared some features from our archives where we spoke with Sok Chenda Sophea, Cambodia’s new Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, then Secretary General of the Council of the Development of Cambodia, and visited the recently enshrined UNESCO World Heritage Site Koh Ker.
If you appreciated our work at Southeast Asia Globe, then we hope you will subscribe to the Focus Cambodia newsletter and follow us online. We’ll be publishing a large-format print magazine of Focus Cambodia in January 2024, so if you are interested in learning more about the magazine or advertising, don’t hesitate to contact us. Now for the articles.
Best regards,
Southeast Asia Globe
