Happy New Year–Week One, Indie Authors and Curious Creatives!
The new year is zooming right along. I haven’t even made my vision board yet! I’ve hit the ground running with working on getting the Bookworm Orchard bookstore ready to open in a month! I’ve always been up for a good challenge, and this is proving to be the best one in a while. We have already filled all the author book signing spots for our Grand Opening event on April 25th.
Several local authors will be joining us including: Angela Herrington, April Decton, Ava Cuvay, Bess Sturgis, Bob Freeman, Christine Lawrence, Connor Freeman, Elizabeth Woodrow, Erin Hayden, Jana Strickler, Jessica Miller, Laura Petrucce, Liz Flaherty, Lori Goss-Reaves, Mark Saluke, Mona Mehas, Pilar Del Rey, Rochelle Bradley, Shae Smith, Stephanie Renee, Terra Chism, and Valeria Horton.
We are excited to host the first of hopefully many book-signing events for indie authors and our book-loving community!
I’m also still working on the Stories From The Orchard anthology and Kickstarter campaign. The goal is to start the Kickstarter pre-launch on January 20th, so hopefully, I will have the link for you by the next update. The purpose of the anthology is to raise start-up funds for our Bookworm Orchard bookstore that will be located at Boston Hill Center, 428 S Washington St, Suite 101, Marion, Indiana.
We will have our first author group meeting at Bookworm Orchard: Saturday, January 24, 2026, 10 AM, to talk about consignments, events, and other book marketing opportunities. I hope you can join us!
