Christ Saves

A simple block of text says this, “nothing can save [a] people save it be repentance and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ, who surely shall come into the world, and shall suffer many things and shall be slain for his people.” (Hel. 13:6)

How’s does that make you feel? For some, it may sound as true as the fact that the sky is blue - full of hope and joy, and for some, it may stir emotions of disappointment, disregard pointing towards deceived people disillusioned by false hope.

This may be the most important message ever or it may mean nothing.

Each of us can come to learn a bit more about what this means. For this may truly be the answer. This may be YOUR answer.

The answer for the single mom with no hope, the child who feels they have no one who cares, and parents who don’t understand. To the “different” and the “disappointments”. To the couple on their last dime or the couple in their last week before the divorce. Yes, this may be the solution.

It may not make logical sense how this can be a solution. It may seem far-fetched, outlandish, or maybe even inappropriate. Anything but truth or actual help.

Despite all of this I have seen differently. I have felt differently. I have seen problems completely irrelevant to religion be consoled by a relationship with CHRIST. I have seen life’s change, starting with my own.

I ask but a simple favor when you don’t feel like you can do it—maybe it’s after you have “tried everything”, read all the books, been to all the classes, did what you were supposed to, but it just didn’t work out—that you think of a simple phrase: Christ can save.

When you know what that means it changes everything.
