Dear generous Save Austin Now supporters –

In 58 days, the largest grassroots army in Austin history rallied to execute a nearly flawless campaign to defeat the largest property tax increase in city history.

  • Total raised: $306,695

  • Individual donors in this campaign: 900+

With that budget, here is what our campaign produced:

  • WEBSITE: A new SaveAustinNow.com website was created with specific content and tools to educate, persuade, motivate and turn out voters

  • MAIL: We sent 84,000 pieces of mail across Austin

  • DIGITAL: We dominated digital in this campaign, with tens of thousands of people visiting our Prop Q calculator, and absolutely massive reach across X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Google.

    • Ad impressions: 1.31 million

    • People Reached: 352,210

    • Impressions per Person: ~4

    • Video Ad Views: 196,718 (three unique ads produced and distributed)

  • RADIO ADS: Five weeks of radio ads on 590am, 1370am, 1300am, 98.1 FM and 98.9 FM

  • HIGHWAY SIGNS: 60 large 4x8 highway signs installed across Austin in all parts of the city

  • YARD SIGNS: We purchased and deployed nearly 1,500 yard signs to individuals across Austin

  • BILLBOARDS: Two massive billboards with a print ad for 3 weeks in North Austin and Central Austin

  • TEXT MESSAGES: Nearly 200,000 turnout text messages were sent out

  • EMAILS: We emailed a 70k email list 30 times over nearly 60 days, with an average open rate of 35%

  • ROBO CALLS: Nearly 64,000 robocalls to turn out our supporters

  • DOOR HANGERS: 12,000 door hangers were placed on renter doors in downtown, West Campus and Mueller

  • POLLING: We polled likely voters in mid-October to see where the race stood and review cross tabs for better targeting and modeling.

  • ID WORK: One vendor texted 188,000 Austinites to identify their position on Prop Q. Another vendor sent 100,000 text messages to simulate daily tracking, identify voter trends, execute a voter ID program, and drive turnout.
