Special on German Parliamentary Elections 2025: Will Germany rise to its challenges?
When I was asked to write an article on the current German general elections, I thought of the US presidential elections and how much fun it’s always been to look at the two contestant’s birth charts, their planetary transits and compare them to the natal chart of the country. So, I was looking forward to doing the same with Germany. Then a feeling of the current Jupiter-in-Gemini information overwhelm set in as I realized that the situation is totally different in Germany and unprecedented in its post-war history: There are as many as 8 parties that have a potential chance to get enough votes to make it into parliament this time, and no less than 5 designated candidates that are vying for the position of Chancellor of Germany! Phew! I mean, how many balls can one juggle?
Before I fall prey to the Gemini-trap of spreading myself too thin by analyzing and comparing the seemingly inordinate number of contestants, I will have to choose a point of focus. Since those of you who live in German-speaking countries are probably well-informed about the candidates through this year’s non-stop stream of interviews, talk-shows and excessive coverage of the political campaign on German media anyway (blown up by current Jupiter in Gemini), I thought we should take a look at some selected elements of the natal chart of the entity that the future Chancellor will swear to protect: the “bride or bridegroom-to-be”, the natal chart of the Federal Republic of Germany:
