Hi everyone,

Well, it’s been quite a week.

I finished up the very (very) last brushstroke-level edits to the new book, Vigil, on Monday. Always a strange moment for someone as obsessive as I am, but I’m very happy with it and grateful for all the help I’ve gotten on it from Andy Ward and the team at Random House. We’re working through a million details for the January-February tour and arranging interviews for the rest of this month, December, and the beginning of January.

Tuesday, Paula and I drove from L.A. to Rancho Mirage, where she did a wonderful event for the Rancho Mirage Writers Series. Paula was interviewed by Khoi Le (one of the most gifted interviewers in America, by the way). She is (as you will see) so insightful and brilliant and composed and had some deep and radical things to say, especially about sexual politics in America. You can watch the interview here.
