Workers at Amazon Fresh are organizing a union

Amazon Fresh Grocery Store Opens Thursday - Alexandria Living Magazine

An Amazon Fresh store in Seattle with 150 workers is currently the first Amazon grocery store facing a significant push to organize a union. A few weeks ago, workers went public informing Amazon Workers United, seeking demands such as a wage increase, policy changes and benefits that are equitable to what workers at Amazon-owned Whole Foods stores receive, better scheduling and attendance policies, chairs for cashiers, and diversity/sexual harassment training.

A pro-union worker was recently fired over clerical errors in the Amazon A to Z app that her manager had told her not to worry about. Rather than talk to her like a human being, she was fired through an automated email and locked out of the app, just a day or so after management assured her the issue would be resolved without any problems.
