Last week, I wrote an essay called "Knowing Ryan Lake.” In it, I briefly mentioned the subject of my doctoral dissertation.

It was all about sentences like (1):

(1) The sentence labeled (1) in the Substack essay “Knowing Ryan Lake” is not true.

If (1) is true, it’s not true. If it’s false, it’s not true, so it is true. Either way, it’s both.
