How you gonna have a huge day on Tuesday, and have millions of folks mobilize to say “we don’t like what is going on at all all across the country”, and then cave like this? Folks are going hungry, flights are being canceled, services are being shut down so you can cave and gain nothing? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? Are you bitches dumb?
Anyway, I hate it here. AOC better announce her Senate campaign in the next 24 hours. And no matter what, Schumer gotta be voted of leadership ASAP because he is not the one we have been looking for. Ineffectual ho.
The last few days have been bonkers. Wednesday night I took a red-eye to NYC to celebrate one of my best friends turning 40. Friday morning I took an early flight to Austin to host the Texas Book Festival’s gala1. Then Saturday and Sunday was the festival itself and I got to be in conversation with , which was as I’m sure you can imagine, a total delight. I also got to see so many readers and writers I adore like , , , Eve Ewing, and on and on and on. It was a real whose who of the book world. I’m exhausted. But, like, in the best way.
