A blessing for the courage to start imperfectly

For the brave, worried perfectionists

Blessed are you who takes a leap.

Blessed are you who tries, even when you don’t have all your ducks in a row. Who opens the blank document and stares at the flashing cursor. Who buys the domain name. Who sends that email.

Blessed are you who has the courage to try and learn and grow and fail and try again. Blessed are you who goes into the arena when others nervously blend into the safety of the sidelines.

Blessed are you who is willing to make mistakes. To look foolish. To be embarrassed. Blessed are you who gets up again and keeps going.

Blessed are you who don’t feel ready. Blessed are you who feel like there’s nothing new to say. (Because you’re right. There isn’t. There isn’t anything new under the sun.)

Blessed are you who tries anyway.
